Fabtech in the Gulf: the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain
The UAE: cleanroom panels in Dubai
The first point is Dubai, in the UAE. Here we supplied modular cleanroom panels to Geltec Pharmacare.
A modular cleanroom panel is a wall or ceiling panel that is made in a factory and joined on site. Fabtech makes these panels.
Saudi Arabia: an oncology facility
The second point is Saudi Arabia. For Sudair Pharma's oncology facility, Fabtech delivered the cleanrooms, the HVAC and the clean utilities as one turnkey project.
Saudi Arabia: water and steam at Madinat Al-Dawaa
The next point is the Madinat Al-Dawaa plant, also in Saudi Arabia. Here we supplied the water and steam systems.
The purified water system makes 1,000 litres per hour, and the WFI system makes 500 litres per hour. WFI (water for injection) is the highest grade of water in a medicine plant.
Bahrain: Gulf Biotech
The last point is Bahrain. Our client there is Gulf Biotech. Its Managing Director, Dr. Waqar Ahmad, said that Fabtech's "sincere efforts and hard work made it possible".
Buyers in Kuwait, Oman and Qatar
Fabtech takes orders for clean air equipment and cleanroom work from every Gulf country.
Our export team answers every enquiry from the region. If you are in Kuwait, Oman or Qatar, you can order clean air equipment and cleanroom work from us.
Buyers in Bahrain can order in the same way.
The range includes pass boxes, air showers and complete cleanrooms. A pass box is a small chamber with two doors.
It is used to move materials into a cleanroom. See our dynamic pass box.
An air shower blows filtered air over a person before they enter a cleanroom. See the full range of cleanroom and clean air equipment.
How a Gulf project runs, from design to handover
Our pharmaceutical engineering services team designs the plant from your product and your site.
We supply what the design needs. At Geltec Pharmacare in Dubai, that was cleanroom panels, HVAC, electrical work and booths.
We install the systems and commission them. Commissioning means starting each system and checking that it runs.
We then carry out qualification, which means the written tests and records that prove the plant works as designed. The four stages are DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ: design, installation, operational and performance qualification.
Our equipment qualification page explains each stage.
We hand the plant and its records to your team. At Madinat Al-Dawaa in Saudi Arabia, Fabtech later supplied spares and upgrades for the plant.
We build GMP and WHO compliant facilities. GMP means good manufacturing practice, the rules a medicine plant must follow.
The full method is on our turnkey pharmaceutical projects page.
