Geltec Pharmacare FZCO, Dubai
Geltec Pharmacare FZCO has a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Dubai. Fabtech supplied the cleanroom for it: the panels, the air system, the electrical work and the booths where raw materials are handled.

Burjeel Hospital, UAE

The panel walls and ceiling
You first see the walls and the ceiling. They are built from modular panels, which are flat, insulated panels made in a factory and joined on site.
For Geltec Pharmacare, the panel scope was 12,869 square metres. Fabtech makes its own cleanroom panels.
The HVAC system that supplies clean air
Next is the HVAC system, which supplies the clean air to each room. It filters the air and controls its temperature and humidity.
It also keeps the air pressure in each room at the level the design sets. Fabtech supplied the HVAC system for this plant.
The electrical work
The lights and the sockets come next. The electrical work brings power to the lights, the air system and the equipment in the clean rooms.
In a modular cleanroom, the sockets can sit inside the wall panels. The electrical work was part of Fabtech's scope at Geltec Pharmacare.
The sampling booth and the dispensing booth
Inside the rooms are a sampling booth and a dispensing booth. These are the places where containers of raw material are opened.
Sampling means taking a small portion for testing. Dispensing means weighing out a measured quantity.
The air inside a booth
In the booth, filtered air moves down and away from the operator's face. This matters because both jobs make dust.
Fabtech supplied both kinds of booth for this plant.
The biosafety cabinet
The last item is the biosafety cabinet, a cabinet for work with biological samples. It pulls air inward and filters the air it exhausts, so it protects the person who works at it.

How a UAE cleanroom project runs

We agree the design with you: the layout, the list of rooms and the standard the plant must meet. This work is part of our pharmaceutical engineering services.
