A project in Egypt runs in the same order as our other turnkey pharmaceutical projects: design, supply, installation, commissioning, qualification and handover.
In a turnkey project, one company designs, supplies, installs and tests the plant under one contract. We supply the cleanrooms, the air system, the water systems and the process equipment.
A cleanroom is a room where the air is filtered and controlled. The design is part of our pharmaceutical engineering services.
Commissioning means starting each system and checking that it runs. Qualification means the written tests and records that prove the plant works as designed.
The four stages are design, installation, operational and performance qualification, and engineers call them DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ. Our equipment qualification page explains each stage.
Fabtech builds GMP and WHO compliant facilities. GMP means good manufacturing practice, the rules a medicine plant must follow.
